Marylyn Bonett obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the University of Malta in 2020. As part of her undergraduate studies, she published her dissertation entitled ‘Child Abuse and the Movement towards a Child Friendly Justice System, with particular focus on the draft Minor Protection (Alternative Care) Act 2019’.

 

She subsequently completed her Master of Advocacy (M.Adv.) (Melit.) at the University of Malta in 2021, following which she was admitted to the Bar to practise as a lawyer in Malta in September 2022.

 

 

 

Marylyn’s main areas of practice include Civil Law, Litigation and Employment Law. Her practice encompasses both advisory and contentious matters, and she regularly assists and represents clients in proceedings before the Maltese Courts, Boards and Tribunals.

 

She has also gained experience in other areas of law, including data protection law and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Public Procurement and Whistleblowing Law.

 

In addition to her legal practice, Marylyn has delivered lectures on Employment Law.
